Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) Officials says, this office has started a program for "adjusting and marketing" of Badghis farmers cashmere based on international marketing

This official says, this program has started its works in tow part, it meddle of current year with the collaboration of Qadis, Muqor, Abkamri and Qale-Now Districts farmers.Doctor Barat Ali "Sharifi" senior officer of AECID say, in this program, they tried to train the numbers of Badghis farmers and find marketing for their products."The cashmere collection which is harvested by the comb, is sample and the best method," said Mr. Sharifi and he adds, that they start this program around 5 months ago and they also distributed some special equipments and trained numbers of Badghis farmers .Doctor Sharifi says, this year they have bought 35000 kg cashmere which is harvested by the comb from the farmers with high rate than Market rate.He added, besides the continuing of this program for next year, also they will start new program for improvement of Badghis farmers goat generation.Doctor Barat Ali "Sharifi" senior officer of AECID said, Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) has built a center in the Qale-Now Shogofan Farm, for the introducing of pure generation of goats to this province farmers and it will be inaugurated in the near future.In the same time Badghis Agriculture and Livestock officials, welcomed for the starting of this program, which is implementing by Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and adds, the continuation of this program will cause to improve the awareness and economy of Badghis farmers.Hafizullah Benish Director of Badghis Agriculture and Livestock Department says, the efforts, which are doing in this section, improve the livestock sectors.

Mr. Benish said, starting of Agricultural and Livestock program in Badghis province would have the improvement of situation.Director of Badghis Agriculture and Livestock Department ads, Badghis is one of the Afghanistan mountains provinces, which have proper climate and soil for cultivating.According of Badghis Agriculture and Livestock Director, most of Badghis residents are farmers and they also using old methods for their occupation.
