ending of third awareness workshop of gendar in Badghis

Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) held the third awareness workshop with the close collaboration of Women Affairs Department for Badghis during the current year. These workshops deal with different gender issues.Officials from Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation informed that recently they had held an awareness program titled “Women empowerment”. Thirty six people of Qadis, Abkamri, Muqor and Qale-Now Districts, government and non government employees, attended this training.

Ahmad Sohail”Noori” assistant of AECID gender coordinator said that the aims of this awareness program was familiarizing of women with the factors of empowerment”.Mr. Noori said that the participants followed this program with much interest and had been asked to share these materials with other people, which couldn’t participated.Noori reported that this program had been launched in the Women Affairs Department (DoWA) saloon conference for three days and had finished that afternoon with the distribution of participant certificate.Assistant of AECID gender coordinator said that AECID always coordinate their programs according to DoWA / MoWA plan and strategy.

Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) started awareness program with cooperation of DoWA two years ago and they suppose to continue this program for more years in future.

At the same time, Director of Badghis Women Affairs Department thanked AECID for their constant cooperation and added that Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) has multilateral cooperation with most of Government Department during their presence in Badghis province.

Madam Halima Rahpima, Director of Badghis Women Affairs Department, said that the conduction of this awareness workshop (women empowerment) with attention of current situation is very important and effective.Madam Rahpima hoped to see positive improvement after women empowerment workshop in the different place of Badghis province. Rahpima also asked all participants to share their learnt with the other people that they couldn’t participate to the workshop. Director of Badghis women affairs department adds that, they will effort to create more opportunities in different parts for Badghis women with support of Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) and other donor’s organization.
