fifty two 52 hectares of fertilized Rain has cultivated Feed Alfa Alfa in the two district of Badghis province.

Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) has cultivated 52 hectares of fertilized Rain Feed Alfa Alfa in the two district of Badghis province.Officials of Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) that have visit the field, say, this office has bought 1000 kg of fertilized Rain Feed seed of alfalfa from Australia and most of the seeds cultivated in 15 extension committees of pistachio in Muqor and Abkamri districts of Badghis province at beginning of this year.

“The aims of this program are extension and improvement of the quality of pastures in some areas of Badghis province.Gholam Sakhi “Peshtaz” who is in charge of Natural Resources and Forest Extension of AECID says that they cultivated 750 kg of these fertilized seed in 52 hectares during last ten days.Mr. Peshtaz add, during last ten days have provided work opportunities for 8000 thousand of local people of Muqor and Abkmari Districts.The coordinator of Natural Resource and Forest Extension of AECID added, Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) has cultivated pistachio around 200 hectares at beginning of last year , in Muqor and Abkmari Districts of Badghis with agreement of Agriculture and livestock Ministry .He also added, Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) will try to have more effective steps in province with the collaboration of Badghis Agriculture and Livestock Department.During the field visit of AECID officials, numbers of the local people praised, that office activity and adds, with the starting of Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID) has provided work opportunities for a lot of jobless people.These people added, before most of the Badghis youths travel to the neighbor province or countries for finding job opportunities.Mentioned people asked from the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation officials to continue their assistance with the Afghanistan people especially with Badghis people.In the same time Badghis Agriculture and Livestock Department Officials imagine, that AECID pistachio forest extension is effectual and added, with implementation of these kind program, local will encourage to protect their pistachio forest.

Abdul Aziz ”Halimyar” Director of Extension Department and Acting Director of Badghis Agriculture and Livestock Department says , implementing of the Agricultural and Livestock programs in Badghis province will cause the farmers to knows the importance of Agriculture and Live stocking . Mr. Halimyar adds, in the past there is no any attention about the Agriculture and Livestock, therefore farmers also haven’t any attention about that.The acting director of Badghis Agriculture and Livestock Department also added the recent year’s actives of the cooperative institutions in agriculture sector caused to use new methods in the field of live stoking and agriculture by the farmers.The in charge of the natural resource and forest extension of AECID says, will continue its cooperation with the agriculture department and the people of Baghis Province for next years.
