Security force arrests two suspected insurgents in Farah.

An Afghan and coalition security force conducted yesterday an operation resulting in the detention of two insurgents supposed to have links to IED (Improvised Explosive Device) facilitator cell in Farah district.

The operation, which occurred east of Farah, in Kormaleq village, was carried out after International Security Assistance Force service members received reliable information about the presence of possible cache and IED cell in the area. During the operation the coalition forces seized a motorbike, 3 Kalashnikov, a huge amount of ammunitions, electric wire, and a big bag of ammonium nitrate, a fertilizer used to prepare IED.

The security force did not fire their weapons and no harm was done to the population.
