Full ANSF Success in Weapons Recovery Operation

The 2.2 Kandak of the 207th Corps of the Afghan National Army recovered yesterday a huge quantity of ammunition in a cache over the mountains surrounding Bala Boluk, in the province of Farah.  Over 340 ammo of different kind, including 22 120mm-rockets, 18 mortar bombs, several fuses and 5 packs of explosive, were found by Afghan troops following the directions provided by a report of the National Directorate of Security. The ordnance recovered was in very good conditions and would have likely been used to prepare IEDs. In the next days, ANA and ISAF specialist assets will dispose the ammunition found in a safe and controlled way.
