trained around 2500 Badghis famers and clean 3200 hectares ,cultivated lands from locust insects

Officials of Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) says, recently they trained around 2500 Badghis famers and clean 3200 hectares ,cultivated lands from locust  insects 

.These officials announced the aims of their training program, introduction of famers to new methods for controlling of locust, melon flies, sun pest and right using of the pesticides.Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) plant protection coordinator’s said, the farmers which has trained by them are Qadis, Muqor, Abkamari and Qale-Now residents and are currently working in the field.Engineer Hamidullah “Andar”, AECID plant protection coordinator says, Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) field workers could clean 3256 hectares cultivated lands with the contribution of the farmers that received training.Mr. Andar adds that the plant protection program started 20 days ago through the 70 AECID field workers and local people (farmers).Engineer added that presently the situation is in under control; in case the situation gets worse they would be ready to act.Authorities of Badghis Agriculture and Livestock Department (DAIL) have appreciated from Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), their acting on time and have said that this  is a big effort against Natural pests.Hafizullah Benish, Director of Badghis Agriculture and Livestock Department (DAIL) says, locust attack is low this year and there is not a big concern about it.Mr. Benish, Director of Badghis Agriculture and Livestock Director (DAIL), adds that locust attacks were a little bit higher in Janwand and Bala Morghab District than in another places of Badghis province, because DAIL and other partner NGOs have lack access on the areas.Director of Badghis Agriculture and Livestock Department (DAIL) added that according to the preventative activity against locust attacks this year; we will have good harvest and agricultural products.
