The delivery of these vehicles happened in presence of Delbar Jan Arman Governor of Badghis Province, David Gervilla country director of Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID), heads of start directorates and elders of Qala-Naw to the authorities of the Public Health Directorate.
In charge of Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID), said” form the delivered vehicles, 6 mobile clinics will be allocated to the 6 districts.
The vehicles are well equipped with medical facilities to assist patients taken to the health clinics to the hospital¨
.Dr. Noor Mohammad Habibi, acting director of the Badghis Public Hospital thanked from the continual donations from the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID). He mentioned that ´´with the activation of these ambulances and mobile clinics the graph of health service deliveries will goes up´´.Dr. Noor Mohammad Habibi says: during the last 8 years the measure of access to health facilities in the different rural areas were increased and with the dispatched of these vehicles health care services deliveries will raise up.
Dr. Noor Mohammad Habibi, acting director of the Badghis Public Hospital added that, Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID) has carried out mentionable activities addressed to the public health sector in the last three years.In the mean time David Gervilla, country director of Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID) said that following the support given to the health section, now we are giving 10 ambulance vehicles and 6 mobile clinics for the provision of better health facilities to the residents of remote areas of the province at the disposal of the health directorate. David Gervilla, country director of Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID) in Afghanistan, asked from the authorities of the public health to pay attention to the maintenance and protection of these vehicles.David Gervilla says that ”50 years ago Spain had a similar situation of to Afghanistan and that with the help of neighboring countries and international community became able to change as a developed and self reliance country. David Gervilla, country director of Spanish Agency for International Cooperation (AECID) said that Spain Government is trying to provide further financial and technical cooperation to the people of Afghanistan especially to the people of Badghis.The governor of Badghis province Delbar Jan Arman appreciates the cooperation’s of the Spanish Government and requested to AECID to take charge to provide opportunity for the training of drivers, and health mobile teams.Governor Arman added that during his trip to Spain the authorities of Spain showed great interest for the people of Afghanistan and declare their preparedness for the further cooperation to the people of this country.Governor of Badghis province made the local authorities responsible for the protection of completed projects through NGOs and states organizations. In the mean time the AECID office spent over the 10 million US dollar on construction of health clinics, medical equipments, construction of hospital buildings, nursing and midwifery school etc… during the last three years.
