Herat: Local Authorities and PRT hold Groundbreaking Ceremony for a new Comprehensive Health Centre in Injil

HERAT, Afghanistan (5 September) – The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new comprehensive health Centre was held in the district of Injil, Herat Province. 

Colonel Emmanuele Aresu, the PRT Commander, coordinated the project with the Provincial Development Council, which included it in the Health Infrastructures Master Plan.  The structure – worth 170,000 Euros - will be built by the Italian Provincial Reconstruction Team based in Herat with CERP funds.

The Centre will feature distinct areas for the treatment of men and women and will be inaugurated next January. 

Ms. Soraya Dahlil – the representative of the Ministry of Health – attended the ceremony along with other local authorities and PRT officers.
