10 Insurgents join the Reintegration program in Badghis province.

A 10-insurgents group turned in their weapons in a Reintegration Ceremony that took place in Qal´eh-ye Now, the capital of Badghis province, on September 16.
The group, that operated in Jawan district, also in the province of Badghis, showed its intention to join the reintegration program to the local authorities. Few days later, they formalized this intention in a Reintegration Ceremony that was attended by the Provincial Governor- Delbar Jan Arman- as well as by the provincial heads of NDS and Afghan Police and a large group of elders coming from across the province.
The group handed over several rifles, one machine gun, one mortar and a large amount of ammunitions and grenades, expressing with this act their will to renounce violence and accept the Afghan constitution.
In the inaugural speech, the Governor highlighted the importance of peace for Afghanistan and the benefits of reintegration, not only for the former fighters but also for their communities.
